Sliding gate motors

Sliding gate motors suit homeowners with limited driveway space or sloped driveways where a swing gate isn't practical. The gate retracts along a ground-level track, keeping the opening clear. Pricing depends on gate weight, track length (standard kits include 4 m of rack), and whether you need mains, low-voltage, or solar power. Common issues we see on existing sliding gate motors include worn rack teeth, misaligned tracks, dead motors, and limit faults that stop the gate short.

We install the Merlin MGSK600 — a 600 kg-rated slide gate opener with myQ smart connectivity and solar/low-voltage options. For heavier or higher-traffic applications, we also install the Centsys D5 Evo SMART (up to 500 kg, residential workhorse with app-based setup and built-in battery backup), the Centsys D10 SMART (up to 1,000 kg, 100% duty cycle for commercial sites), and the Centsys D20 SMART (up to 2,000 kg for heavy industrial gates). All Centsys SMART motors feature solar compatibility, integrated battery backup, and the MyCentsys Remote app for setup and diagnostics. If your current motor has failed, we can assess whether a like-for-like replacement or an upgrade makes more sense.

Swing gate motors

Swing gate motors are ideal for properties with wide driveways and enough clearance for the gate to arc open. They suit both single and double-leaf configurations and give a classic, clean look. Pricing is influenced by gate weight (up to 300 kg per leaf), whether it's a single or double setup, arm type (linear actuator vs articulated), and power source. Common faults on existing swing motors include seized arms, blown logic boards, sagging gates pulling the motor off alignment, and intermittent operation in wet weather.

We install the Merlin Swing L 300 (linear actuator) and Swing A 200 (articulated arm) — both available in single and double kits with mains, low-voltage, or solar power options. We also install the Centsys Vantage 400 (double swing gates up to 6 m wide) and Centsys Vantage 500 (double swing gates up to 8 m wide). Both Vantage models are built from aircraft-grade aluminium, feature SMART technology with the MyCentsys Remote app (including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration), built-in battery backup, fail-safe collision detection, and intruder-detection alarm modes. Solar compatible with 40W, 60W or 80W panels.

Solar gate automation

Solar gate automation is designed for acreage, rural, and semi-rural properties where running mains power to the gate is impractical or expensive. It's also a good option for properties where the gate is a long distance from the house. Pricing depends on the gate type (swing or slide), panel and battery sizing, and site conditions — the gate location needs adequate direct sun exposure for reliable daily operation. Common issues with solar setups include undersized panels, flat batteries from shading or heavy use, and poor charge controller configuration.

We install the Merlin Swing LR 500 Rural Gate Opener with a dedicated solar kit, as well as the Merlin MGSK600 slide gate motor with solar conversion. Both include myQ smart connectivity and are built for Australian conditions. We also install the Centsys D5 Evo SMART with solar compatibility for sliding gates, and the Centsys Vantage 400 and Vantage 500 swing gate motors with solar kits (40W, 60W or 80W panels, 9Ah battery standard, upgradeable to 33Ah). All Centsys solar setups include built-in battery backup and SMART app-based monitoring.

Two models cover domestic through to light-industrial applications, with 240V mains, low voltage and solar power options.
