Matt holds a QLD Electrical Work Training Permit (restricted, plug-in 240VAC, automatic gates/doors only). Electrical work is completed by a licensed electrician when required.
Yes. We repair and service all brands of residential garage door motors—roller doors, sectional (panel lift) doors, and tilt doors. We service Merlin, Centsys, B&D, Grifco, ATA, and more.
Yes. We can service garage door openers under warranty. Warranty can be confusing, so here’s the simple version: manufacturers provide a parts warranty for specific components. Labour, travel and onsite time may still be chargeable depending on the age of the install, the type of fault, and what the manufacturer covers. If parts are required, we’ll explain the process and confirm any costs before we proceed.
Pricing & Costs
No. There’s no call-out fee to diagnose a fault and provide a quote. We come out, assess the problem, and give you a clear quote before any work starts. If you don’t proceed, there’s no charge.
Repair costs vary depending on the fault and parts required. We’ll diagnose the problem for free and give you a clear quote before any work starts. Common repairs include control board replacement ($325–$525), safety sensor installation ($330), keypad installation ($250), and Wi-Fi/smartphone control setup ($385).
A garage door motor supply and install starts from $850 (Merlin quality motor, professional installation, full testing, safety check & 12-month workmanship warranty). Pricing depends on the style and size of your garage door.
The $850 price includes a Merlin quality motor, professional installation, full testing, safety check and 12-month workmanship warranty. Parts are additional if required.
A sliding gate motor supply and install starts from $1,100 (Merlin quality motor, professional installation, full testing, safety check & 12-month workmanship warranty). Pricing depends on gate weight, track length and power type.
A single swing gate motor supply and install costs $1,995. A double swing gate motor (dual motors) costs $2,450. Both include the motor(s), installation, testing, safety check and 12-month workmanship warranty.
Swing gates require more complex installation, precise hydraulic or mechanical arm setup, and often dual motors (for double-leaf gates). Sliding gates use a simpler rack-and-pinion mechanism, which is why they’re generally less expensive.
A control board replacement costs $525. This includes a brand-new control board supplied and programmed to your gate system.
A keypad installation costs $250. This includes a secure PIN access keypad supplied and programmed to your system.
A residential service call-out costs $175 (covers travel, inspection, service checks & up to the first 30 minutes onsite). A commercial service call-out costs $295. Additional time after the first 30 minutes is $135 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. Parts are additional if required.
After-hours emergency callouts cost $475 (includes up to the first 30 minutes onsite). Then $250/hr billed in 15-minute increments. After hours: Weekday evenings (5pm–7am) and weekends (Sat 4pm–Mon 7am). Emergency callouts are subject to availability and service area.
For repairs and fault diagnosis, there’s no call-out fee. For scheduled servicing and maintenance visits, prepayment is required ($175 residential / $295 commercial) to confirm your appointment. Parts are additional if required.
Yes. Service booking fees must be paid in advance to confirm your appointment. This applies to scheduled maintenance and tune-ups. Fault diagnosis and repair quotes are free with no call-out fee.

Installation & Repair Process
Most installs are completed in a few hours, depending on access and gate/door condition. We’ll give you a timeframe when we confirm your booking.
We aim to respond within 3 business days—often sooner. Exact timing depends on your location and our schedule. For emergency callouts (after hours), availability is subject to your location and our schedule.
Repair is usually worth it when the motor is relatively new, the fault is a single component (like a control board or remote receiver), and parts are available. Replacement makes more sense when the motor is old (10+ years), parts are no longer available, the motor is unreliable, or multiple faults are developing. We’ll give you an honest recommendation based on your specific situation.
We back every installation with a 12-month workmanship warranty. Plus, Merlin motors come with a 3–7 year manufacturer warranty (depending on the model), and Centsys motors come with a 24-month warranty. Warranty applies only to equipment we installed.
